Acts and the Roman empire—slides

I’m giving a paper at a conference on ‘The Church in an Age of Political Power’ in Colorado Springs. My paper is ‘Acts and the Roman Empire: An analysis in conversation with 1 Kings 18 and Daniel’. That may sound like an unusual combination. I am arguing that there are common themes (as well as differences, of course) in the way that believers respond to power and empire in the reign of Ahab (1 Kings 18), the book of Daniel, and the book of Acts. The papers from the conference will be published in due course, but if you’d like a preview, here is a link to the slides for my paper.
when I try to download the slides, my computer tells me that a virus was detected
I’ve just run the file through my virus software (ClamXAV) and it says it’s fine.
